Front Cover of SPorts Illustrated Magazine
signature of Heavyweight Boxing Legend Big George Foreman.
We got this signature when Foreman was inducted into the
Boxing Hall of Fame. Foreman is a very tough autograph as
he very rarely signs.

George was predominantly raised by his mother
in a notoriously tough neighbourhood.
Foreman dropped out of high school and turned to petty
theft, before joining the US Job Corps. Here, Foreman became
infamous for picking fights until, on the verge of expulsion,
he met supervisor Charles "Doc" Broadus, who saw
promise in Foreman’s physical strength. Under the
direction of Broadus, Foreman trained to be a boxer.
Foreman fought in the amateur boxing circuit, winning sixteen
of eighteen fights; by the age of nineteen, he qualified
for the Olympic boxing team. In the 1968 Olympic Games he
won gold in the heavyweight class. The following year, he
turned professional.
Foreman captured his first heavyweight championship title
in 1973, by knocking out Joe Frazier in the second round.
The following year, Foreman signed an unprecedented $5 million
contract to fight Muhammad Ali in Zaire. In the "Rumble
in the Jungle", Ali knocked out Foreman, causing one
of the greatest upsets in boxing history.
In 1977, after losing to Jimmy Young, Foreman experienced
a religious awakening. He retired from boxing, and was ordained
a minister. Foreman established his own church, counselled
prisoners, delivered his message on the radio.
In 1987, Foreman ended a ten year absence from the ring
by winning the first of twenty four straight comeback fights.
As a contender for the championship title against Evander
Holyfield in 1991, the forty year-old Foreman lost the bout
by decision, but gained a wealth of respect from the boxing
industry for his remarkable comeback.
In 1994, Foreman recaptured the title in a dramatic victory
over Michael Moorer. Foreman holds the distinction of being
the oldest heavyweight boxing champion in history.
Foreman is now a boxing commentator, a best-selling autobiographer,
and spokesman for the "George Foreman Lean Mean Grilling
Machine".
