Vintage 1971 Autographs of 'Smokin Joe Frazier' and 'Muhammad
Ali'.
From Sotheby's Drew Bundini Estate Sale.
This is a beautiful gold souvenir glove which was made
up to commemorate the first fight between Muhammad Ali and
Joe Frazier. This was an original 1971 souvenir piece made
up by "Everlast" for this great fight. The back
of the glove has the following printed below the "Everlast"
label: Madison Square Garden, World's Heavyweight Championship,
March 8, 1971, Joe Frazier vs Muhammad Ali, Everlastingly
yours.
It has been signed by both Joe Frazier (as "Smokin
Joe Frazier") and Muhammad Ali. Rarer still is that
both signatures are vintage 1971 signatures done in black
ink.
Comes with the original certifiactes provided from the
auction as well as our own.
Condition: Very good condition with some soiling, with
perfectly readable signatures of both men.
