Mayweather was dominant Saturday in his grudge match with
Diego Corrales, clearly outclassing Corrales in a shockingly
easy victory. He knocked Corrales down three times in the
seventh round and twice in the 10th before 8,126 at the
MGM Grand Garden.
In a touch of cruel irony for the previously unbeaten Corrales,
he ended the night in a feud with his father, Ray Woods.
After all the prefight talk about the problems between Mayweather
and his father, Floyd Sr., Corrales shoved his father and
was visibly angry later when Woods did the sensible thing
and asked referee Richard Steele to stop the bout.
The end of the carnage came at 2:19 of the 10th.
